Data analysis further shows that most firefighters report being well rested before the injury (minor or severe) occurs. In addition, the number of calls firefighters responded to prior to injury appears to result in more severe injuries. By contrast, 71 percent of all firefighter injuries occur when a firefighter had no prior responses.
